Letter from the Director

War Eagle!

My name is Chelsea Crooks and I am the Director of the 2011 Beat Bama Food Drive. I cannot begin to explain how excited I am for this year's Food Drive. Auburn's desire to give back to the community has always impressed and inspired me. I can't wait to see what the Auburn Family is capable of this Fall.

Hunger is something that is very dear to the Auburn family, as we have been chosen by the United Nations World Food Programme as the lead academic partner in the War on Hunger student campaign. Although the rivalry between Auburn University and the University of Alabama motivates many to contribute to the food drive, I urge you to keep in mind the real purpose of our food drive - helping fight hunger in our local community.

Please be as generous as possible, especially with poverty levels rising across the country. There are many ways to get involved with the food drive and we truly appreciate any and all support.
