Blood Drives

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Over 95% percent of Americans will receive donated blood in their lifetime, yet only 5% give blood. As technology increases and medical procedures advance, the demand for blood donors continues to grow. Across America, the need for donors is rising at an alarming rate.
At Auburn, we believe it is part of our civic duty to ensure all Americans have access to blood transfusions. No American should ever be turned away from hospitals because of a lack of blood. In conjunction with the American Red Cross, the Student Government Association sponsors two blood drives each semester. The blood drive dates were set to ensure enough time is between drives to allow your blood to re-supply to enable you to donate at all drives. Also, you will receive a free t-shirt each time you donate with a unique design for that particular drive.
Donation takes about an hour, but the feeling of satisfaction lasts a lifetime. Give the gift of life, and donate blood.
