Understanding Self and Others (USO) Groups:

USO groups provide members with a supportive environment to discuss their concerns and receive feedback from others. USO groups do not have a specific theme or topic for discussion. Instead, they allow members the opportunity to talk about areas of their lives in which they are experiencing difficulty. Reasons for attending a USO group include having problems in relationships, feeling dissatisfied or unhappy with relationships, wondering about how others perceive them, and testing out new ways of behaving.

Pride Group:

This will be a weekly group for students who identify as LGBTQQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning). It will be a combination of support and process. Discussions will be determined by what members are most interested in addressing but will relate in some way to sexual orientation and/or gender identity issues.

*Time and day to be arranged. If interested, please schedule a group screening session with Dr. Brandy Smith.

Non-Traditional/Graduate Student Group:

The Non-Traditional/Graduate Student group serves to offer a supportive space in which non-traditional and graduate students can come together to discuss common concerns and receive as well as provide supportive feedback. The group will meet weekly for approximately 90 minutes with the day and time to be determined based upon review of individual group members’ schedules. The format of the group is that of an open, process-oriented support group for non-traditional and graduate students designed to allow for flexibility with respect to structure of each group meeting in an effort to address group members’ concerns unique to being a non-traditional and/or graduate student.

*Time and day to be arranged. If interested, please schedule a group screening session with Dr. Kristee Treadwell.
