Transfer Scholarships

Incoming transfer students who are accepted for admission to Auburn University and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA receive automatic consideration for all General Scholarships for which they meet the criteria. The application for admission serves as the application for consideration of these scholarships; a separate application is not required. Priority consideration is given to transfer students who meet the February 1 application for admission deadline, have a minimum 3.5 cumulative transfer GPA, have earned a minimum of 45 transfer hours, and demonstrate financial need. Transfer students with the highest transfer GPAs and the greatest number of transfer hours are more likely to receive awards.

Incoming transfer students may also receive consideration for Departmental Scholarships. Students should contact the college/school and department in which they plan to major for Departmental Scholarship opportunities.

To receive consideration for need-based General and Departmental Scholarships, incoming transfer students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available online beginning January 1. The FAFSA must be received by Auburn University by the financial aid priority deadline of March 1.
