Transfer Scholarships

The Office of University Scholarships awards a limited number of one-year, non-renewable Transfer Scholarships at three levels in April to incoming transfer students pursuing a first undergraduate degree. To receive consideration at any level, transfer students must have a minimum 3.25 transfer GPA and 30 transfer hours completed by the April 1 Transfer Scholarship priority deadline. Students who enroll at Auburn for the spring or summer term will be considered for Transfer Scholarships with the students who plan to enroll for the upcoming fall term. Students enrolling summer term must be accepted for admission by April 1 to receive consideration.

Students who achieve the minimum transfer GPA required for consideration at any level are not guaranteed a scholarship at that level. The number of scholarships awarded each year is based on available funding, and students with the highest transfer GPAs and the greatest number of transfer hours are more likely to receive awards at all levels. Financial need as demonstrated through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

may also be a consideration. The FAFSA must be received by Auburn University by the financial aid priority deadline of March 1. Although not required, the majority of recipients selected demonstrate financial need.

Academic Excellence Scholarship
	Awarded up to tuition for Alabama residents, currently $6,972, and up to 2/3 tuition for non-residents, currently $13,212.
	Minimum 3.75 transfer GPA required for consideration.

Academic Achievement Scholarship
	Awarded at $1,500.
	Minimum 3.25 transfer GPA required for consideration.

Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship
	Awarded at $2,500.
	Minimum 3.75 transfer GPA.
	Letter of nomination from two-year college advisor confirming Phi Theta Kappa membership required for consideration.
	Letter of nomination should be mailed to the Office of University Scholarships, 115 Quad Center, Auburn, AL 36849.
