National Scholars

National Merit Finalists, National Achievement Finalists, and National Hispanic Scholars with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA automatically receive:

Spirit of Auburn (residents) or Academic (non-residents) Presidential Scholarship
  Tuition for four years, currently valued at $27,888 ($6,972 per year) for residents and $77,808 ($19,452 per year) for non-residents
 

$1,500 technology allowance in the first fall semester

  Auburn Academic Guarantee

Automatic admission to the Honors College

Enrichment experience valued at $4,000 one semester after the second year

On-campus housing allowance for four years, currently valued at $17,600 ($4,400 per year)

University stipend for four years at $4,000 to $8,000 ($1,000 to $2,000 per year), depending on eligibility as determined by National Merit Scholarship Corporation and/or financial need as determined through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) .

A Spirit of Auburn Presidential Scholarship replaces a Spirit of Auburn Founders or University Scholarship if previously awarded. An Academic Presidential Scholarship replaces an Academic Heritage or Charter Scholarship if previously awarded.

National Merit Finalists should contact National Merit Scholarship Corporation to name Auburn University as their first choice institution by their requested deadline(s). National Achievement Finalists and National Hispanic Scholars should mail or fax a copy of their notification letter to the Office of University Scholarships by May 1.

Alabama National Merit Semifinalists and National Achievement Semifinalists who have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and meet the December 1 Freshman Scholarship priority deadline automatically receive a four-year, renewable Spirit of Auburn Founders Scholarship in the amount of tuition, if not already awarded a Spirit of Auburn Scholarship of equal or greater value. This scholarship is currently valued at $27,888 over four years ($6,972 per year).
