Velda Rooker, '93, '95
Director of University Scholarships
Originally from Dothan, Alabama, Velda graduated from high school in Panama City, Florida. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Auburn University and has been the Director of University Scholarships since November 2002. During her tenure, several new Freshman Scholarship programs have been implemented.

Naomi Wadkins
Assistant Director
Originally from West Point, Georgia, Naomi holds a bachelor's degree from LaGrange College and a master's degree from Troy University. Prior to joining our office in August 2007, Naomi worked as a Financial Aid Advisor.

Ashley Darabaris, '03
Scholarship Advisor
A native of Auburn, Alabama, Ashley earned bachelor's degrees in 2003 and 2007 from Auburn University. Previously, she worked as an Admission Advisor. Ashley coordinates the awarding of several Freshman Scholarships.

Joanna Jones, '06
Scholarship Advisor
Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Joanna earned her bachelor's degree from Auburn University in 2006. Joanna was happy to return to the Plains in September 2008 to serve as a Scholarship Advisor. Previously, she worked as an Admission Advisor. Joanna coordinates the awarding of several Freshman Scholarships.

Scholarship Advisor
Originally from Hoover, Alabama, David earned a bachelor's degree from Birmingham-Southern College in 2009 and a master's degree from Auburn University in 2010. Prior to joining our office, he worked in Housing and Residence Life. David coordinates the awarding of Transfer and General Scholarships.

A native of Auburn, Alabama, Jenny has worked with our office since January 2002. Jenny coordinates the processing of Departmental Scholarships awarded by Auburn University’s various colleges and schools.

Office Manager
A native of Auburn, Alabama, Julie joined our office in September 2010 after working in Los Angeles for several years. As the Office Manager, Julie makes our jobs easy by keeping us organized.

Office Receptionist
Originally from Temple Terrace, Florida, Rebecca has been with our office since September 2008. Prior to joining the Auburn Family, she earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida. As the Office Receptionist, Rebecca is the first and last face you see when visiting our office.
