Director of University Scholarships
Originally from Dothan, Alabama, Velda graduated from high school in Panama City, Florida. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Auburn University and has been the Director of University Scholarships since November 2002. During her tenure, several new Freshman Scholarship programs have been implemented, and the total amount in scholarships awarded by the Office of University Scholarships has increased from $5 million to $25 million.

Originally from West Point, Georgia, Naomi holds a bachelor's degree from LaGrange College and a master's degree from Troy University. Prior to joining our office in August 2007, Naomi worked as a Financial Aid Advisor.

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Joanna earned her bachelor's degree from Auburn University in 2006. Joanna was happy to return to the Plains in September 2008 to serve as a Scholarship Advisor. Previously, she worked as an Admissions Counselor. She coordinates the awarding of various Freshman Scholarships awarded by the Office of University Scholarships.

Joining our office in September 2008, Ali is a new face to Auburn University. Graduating from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with her bachelor's degree, Ali left her hometown of Paris, Illinois, to take her chances in the South. She coordinates the awarding of various Freshman Scholarships awarded by the Office of University Scholarships.

A native of Temple Terrace, Florida, Rebecca has been with the Office of University Scholarships since September 2008. Prior to joining the Auburn Family, Rebecca earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida. As the Office Receptionist, she is the first and last face you see when visiting our office.

Joanne moved to the Auburn area from Warren, Pennsylvania, and is another new face to Auburn University. As the Office Manager, Joanne has been taking care of our staff and ensuring our office runs smoothly since September 2008.
