Auburn’s
Office
of Human Subjects Research – Part of the Office of
Compliance – is charged with oversight and compliance
assurance of research activities involving the use of
human subjects. The OHSR provides administrative
support to the university’s Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human
Subjects in Research (IRB). The OHSR maintains the
official records of the IRB, schedules IRB meetings,
provides instruction and educational programs for
investigators, faculty and students involved in human
subjects research, and receives reports of adverse
events, alleged misconduct or concerns about human
subjects research activities. The OHSR is responsible
for continuous monitoring of human subjects research
activities.
