ABI 3100 Genetic Analyzer for DNA Sequencing and Fragment Analysis

The ABI Prism 3100 Genetic Analyzer is an automated capillary electrophoresis system that can separate, detect, and analyze up to 16 capillaries of flurescently labeled DNA fragments in one run. The 3100 Genetic Analyzer system includes the following components: *ABI 3100 Genetic Analyzer; Computer workstation with NT system; *ABI 3100 Genetic Analyzer softwars; * Capillary array,etc.

Affymetrix Equipment and Software Tools (in UAB)

The UAB Genomics Core Facility processes GeneChips using the Affymetrix Hybridization Oven, GeneChip Fluidics Station 400, and the GeneArray Scanner. The fluidics station and scanner are computer controlled through Microarray Suite version 5.0 software. Microarray Suite v5.0 along with Affymetrix MicroDB and Data Mining Tool v3.0 allow for flexible data management, data filtering, expression result sorting, replicate analysis, clustering and matrix analyses.

 

Typhoon™ 9410 Variable Mode Imager unites proven storage phosphor autoradiography technology with four-color, non-radioactive fluorescent labelling techniques. For DNA, RNA, and protein samples, choose from: storage phosphor autoradiography direct blue-excited fluorescence (457, 488 nm) direct green-excited fluorescence (532 nm)
direct red-excited fluorescence (633 nm)chemiluminescence

 

Axon GenePix® 4000 is an integrated microarray scanner and analysis software for DNA microarrays, tissue and cell arrays, and fluorescence studies.
 
The OmniGrid® 100 microarrayer is a high-capacity multi-axis microarrayer that prints biological samples onto solid substrates with speeds that give high- throughput array production.
The OmniGrid 100 can be integrated with an optional Server Arm 3 for fully automated handling of up to 72 input plates.
