AMIL Fees
 The
AURIF-AMIL User Fee Schedule is provided as a reference to the services
available through this facility and their respective costs. Prices
are subject to change without notice.
The AURIF-AMILis open from 7:45am until 4:45pm (M-F) but other times are
available by prior arrangement with the Director. Those who have not used the
facility recently, or have never been here are invited to stop by or schedule an
appointment to discuss the details of your specific microscopy needs. Samples
are accepted by pre-arrangement only. Self-service use of the facility is
welcome any time and is highly encouraged. Most time and resources are devoted
to Auburn University projects but, as time permits, a limited number of projects
from outside the Auburn University System can be conducted. You may contact Dr.

AURIF-AMIL Mission
The mission of the Advanced Microscopy & Imaging
Laboratory is to (1) provide state-of-the-art research support, consultation,
and resources for studies involving the fine structure of cells and tissue, and
non-biological materials using transmission and scanning electron microscopy,
light microscopy, and image analysis; (2) educate and train faculty, students,
staff, and postdoctorates in the theories and techniques of modern electron and
light microscopy; (3) focus attention on the research mission and capabilities
of the facility by highlighting activities through tours and workshops to
Alabama schools, University classes, extension groups, research institutions,
industry, and civic organizations; and (4) provide electron and light microscopy
services to users within and outside the University system on a fee basis.
