Advanced Microscopy & Imaging Lab
 Since
1990, the Auburn University Advanced Microscopy & Imaging Laboratory (AMIL) has
served the electron microscopy and light microscopy needs of the university and
area industry.
Originally named the Facility for
Ultrastructural Studies in the Biological Sciences, Dr. Paul F. Parks
established what today is the AMIL with funds provided by the Office of the Vice
President for Research. Establishment of this facility replaced out-of-date and
substandard equipment and made the service available for research in various
disciplines campus wide.
