To recognize the research achievements and contributions of Auburn University faculty by the presentation of two annual awards. These awards will be presented to faculty who have distinguished themselves through research, scholarly works, and/or creative contributions to their fields. Criteria used to evaluate the research and scholarly activities include, but are not limited to:

• Publications in key journals;
• Authorship of books or other scholarly works;
• Inventions/Patents;
• Creative pieces of art, music, theater, architecture, etc.;
• Success in extramural funding;
• Recognition by peers;
• Prestigious honorary awards and medals;
• Invited lectureships;
• Membership in distinguished societies, etc.
