Bringing Theory and Practice Together in Engineering Classrooms
Friday, October 28, 2005
University of Denver
Sponsored by: National Science Foundation, Laboratory for
Innovative Technology and Engineering Education (LITEE),
Auburn University and the University of Denver
The goal of this workshop is to disseminate this novel teaching/learning methodology among educators.
While all educators are expected to benefit,
this workshop will be especially helpful to the faculty members who are expected to teach the traditional Introduction to Engineering,
or the Profession of Engineering courses.
It is hoped that participants will come to know of a novel approach to make teaching and learning of engineering and technology interesting and meaningful.
The material is readily available so that it could be implemented in classrooms. At the same time,
it provides an ability to adapt it to individual classroom needs.
There is potential for applying for adaptation grants from the National Science Foundation.
