Welcome to the Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology is currently housed primarily in Thach Hall on the Auburn University campus. In addition, the Psychological Services Center , several research labs, and the Project Uplift Offices are located in the Haley Center , the central academic building on campus. Also, psychology faculty have animal labs in the Biological Research Building , a facility dedicated to housing animal research projects. There are a total of 22 faculty in the Department.
The missions of the Psychology Department are the education of its undergraduate majors, the development of its graduate programs, and full participation in the teaching of the University's core curriculum. These three foci are integrated within programs that place a premium on scholarship, scholarly analysis, and the use of science based, psychological knowledge to address individual, social, and societal problems at both the state and national levels.
