AUBURN UNIVERSITY Internal Position Announcement: Assistant Provost for Undergraduate Studies (.50 FTE) The Office of Undergraduate Studies is currently accepting applications for the Assistant Provost for Undergraduate Studies to be appointed at .50 FTE for a period of one year with possibility of renewal. Reporting: The Assistant Provost reports to the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies, who reports to the Provost. Position Summary: The successful candidate will provide assistance to the Associate Provost in various capacities, namely as a liaison between the Associate Deans and the various units that report to the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies, as a representative of the Office on the Admissions Committee and the Disabilities Committee, as well as serve as chair of the Special Lectures Committee. Depending upon background and experience, the successful candidate will provide support for other initiatives and responsibilities related to the undergraduate curriculum. Minimum Qualifications: Terminal degree in academic discipline. Individual must be a tenured AU faculty member. Knowledge of academic policy and procedure is required as demonstrated through some administrative responsibility at the undergraduate level in a program, department or college. Desired Qualifications: Experience with general education, with assessment, or with interdisciplinary programs.
