We want to remind volunteers to set a budget of $5 per month to spend on your child. We want you to spend your time-not your money!

Current mentors/volunteers and potential mentors/volunteers visiting the Project Uplift
office or training sessions should enter and exit Cary Hall using the rear door closest to
War Eagle Way and Donahue Drive. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Letters of Recommendation—After six months as volunteers, students can get letters of recommendation for employment, scholarships, graduate or professional school, etc. You volunteer work has earned you this privilege.
Gas Money—Volunteers can request reimbursement for the gas used to see their children. Our current rate is .15 cents a mile. Certain restrictions apply. Please make your request in person at the office. We receive donations from our volunteer alumni for such purposes.
Class Credit—After a semester, volunteers are eligible to receive class credit. You must register for the class in the Project Uplift office. You can get class credit two semesters for a total of 6 hours of credit.
