The Office of Sustainability is located in Langdon Hall and Annex, one of the oldest buildings on campus. Several years ago, over the course of
two semesters, two Design Build classes completed a sustainable renovation of an office on the second floor of the then abandoned annex. This became the Office of Sustainability.
All the materials used for the renovation were either composed of recycled materials, were salvaged from the annex itself, or, where materials such as paint stripper were required, non-toxic and biodegradable.
A false ceiling was removed to reveal upper-casement windows, which allows more daylight into the office. A non-supporting wall dividing the main office into smaller sections, was replaced with recycled perspex, allowing more light to penetrate into the interior.
