WALK

RESPECT
those behind the wheel.
RELATE
to the cyclists.
REMIND
yourself to use the crosswalk.

WALK Walk against traffic. Wear reflective material from dusk until dawn. Wait for pedestrian signals when available. Do not cross mid-block unless there is a marked crosswalk. Stop, look left, look right, and left again before crossing. Stay to the right of an off-road path to allow for two-way traffic. Use crosswalks wherever possible. Keep pets on a leash to your right when walking on an off-road path. Be predictable. Make eye contact with vehicle drivers to ensure they are stopping.

Respect. Relate. Remind.

One week each Fall the City of Auburn and Auburn University are partner to bring Auburn residents a recurring Safety Week. WaCaDa is designed to remind Auburn residents that we all walk, cycle, and drive alike. A mutual respect for others on the road and safety rules will create a better and safer Auburn for everyone.
