Step 1 - Hardest part - you MUST decide what music to use. That is a personal thing, SO in the interest of learning the HOW part we will give you just a few choices. Go here for a few choices. Click on a title that fits the mood you wish to create.

Step 2 - Once you have chosen a file you like .... with the track pad put cursor on name of file then put your thumb down on the blue thumb bar, leave it down while you scroll down to Save Link As...

RENAME!!!! Save file as: __________________

If you chose the song TwoSides call your file TwoSides.mid

EZ, huh! Now put that file in the Media4WebPages folder on the desktop.

Please note these files are for private use only - read the info at the bottom of their page.

Step 3 - Now you are ready to give your page a special style that only music can facilitate.

You can set your page to play the music as people access it (not always a welcome addition to a portal page) or to play at the click of the mouse (letting people choose is a good thing).

Do not be afraid, but we are going to "look under the hood" and Edit > HTML Source.

You have to link your page to the MIDI file somehow, and the easiest way is to copy the script below -

<bgsound src="DayDreamin.mid" loop="-1">

This code tells the browser to load and play the MIDI file "DayDreamin" and to continue playing it (loop).

OR

Insert the code below and you will see the underlined link Click to hear MIDI and your viewer will have the option of listening or not.

<p align="center"><a href="JaDa.mid">Click to hear MIDI </a></p>

You will OF COURSE have to change the name of the .mid file to the one you chose and saved.
