PEB NEWS

Special Open Enrollment for Life Insurance and Beneficiary Update
During the month of April there will be a special one time only open enrollment for life insurance. This special enrollment period will allow most employees an opportunity to increase life insurance coverage on themselves or their dependents without the need to provide medical evidence. Personalized letters and enrollment forms were mailed to each eligible employee through campus mail the first week of April.
It is important that all forms be completed, signed in two places and returned to the Payroll & Employee Benefits Office by April 30. AUM employees may submit their forms to the Human Resource Office on the Montgomery campus.
Additional information is located at www.auburn.edu/payroll/life-pai.html.

Increase in University Match to TDA
Effective January 1, 2008, the maximum covered salary eligible for University matching funds to the tax-deferred annuity program increased from $30,000 to $33,000. Therefore, for an employee who contributes 5% of covered salary, the annual maximum employer contribution increased from $1500 to $1650.

Tobacco Cessation
For all interested full time employees and/or their spouses, the University pays the costs associated with the AU Pharmaceutical Care Center's "Pack It Up" tobacco cessation program and up to $120 (annually) in non-prescription smoking cessation products recommended by the AUPCC "Pack It Up" program and obtained through the AUPCC Pharmacy.
