Scholarship Funding Opportunities

The Auburn University Women’s Leadership Institute in partnership with Rutgers University’s Center for American Women and Politics is actively involved in developing the next generation of women as leaders; preparing them to participate in the public life thereby creating positive changes that will benefit all of society.  The five-day immersion program consists of an innovative curriculum that focuses on giving hands-on leadership skills to promising female university students while educating them about participation in the political process and encouraging such participation as much as possible.
Give On-line

The 2008 program welcomed 25 outstanding college women selected from the Southeastern region of the United States to participate in this inspiring program. WLI is committed to diversity; participants will come from a wide range of academic disciplines, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds. During the Institute, participants will learn about leadership from a variety of outstanding women leaders (business and political), develop their leadership skills, work in teams on a number of action projects, and spend an enriching day at the State Capitol meeting our female political leaders.

One goal of the Institute is to create a bridge across students from different ethnic, socio economic backgrounds and academic disciplines.  This can be accomplished by providing scholarships to all attendees thereby giving each young woman an equal opportunity to participate.  We ask that you consider joining us in this effort to inspire young women to be future leaders by sponsoring a scholarship for one or more of the well deserving applicants.  Each $2,500 scholarship will cover the cost of attendance for one student.  All donations are tax deductible go towards the scholarship fund unless specified otherwise.
