Course Description:
Pre-AP: Topics for AP Vertical Teams in Social Studies workshop is designed for educators interested in widening opportunities for student success in Advanced Placement classes by developing an articulated program of curriculum and instruction across grade levels. Participants will engage in a variety of practical classroom strategies involving, among others, improving reading comprehension, primary source analysis, and student writing. In addition, they will also learn the steps for creating, planning, and maintaining successful Vertical Teams as the vehicle for Pre-AP curriculum and pedagogy alignment.
