- November 30, 2017 – Last Day to bring donations for BraveHearts Holiday Toy Drive. Once again this year, University Outreach will be assisting the BraveHeart Center for Place and Purpose as a drop off location for its Holiday Toy Drive. The BraveHeart Holiday Toy Drive assures that children in economically needy families are included in the celebration of the Season of Giving. Please donate new, unwrapped toys for children ages newborn to 12 years old. Please deliver your donations by Thursday, November 30 to the Office of Public Service at O. D. Smith Hall during regular office hours. A box receptacle will be available in the 1st floor lobby for drop offs.
- December 7, 2017 – Community Partner Training: Developing Effective Partnerships. The Office of Public Service is hosting a Community Partner Training entitled "Developing Effective Partnerships" on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 1 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. Presented by Dr. Mark Wilson, Director of Civic Learning Initiatives, Auburn University College of Liberal Arts, this training session will focus on assisting non-profit agencies develop and maintain meaningful partnerships that help build capacity within the organizations. - January 12, 2018 – Spring Volunteer Fair. The AuburnServes Spring Volunteer Fair will be Friday, January 12, 2018, 10 A.M. – 1 P.M. in the AU Student Center. Representatives from local non-profit agencies will be on hand to share information about their missions and volunteer opportunities. All Auburn students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.
