Overview
Road scholar, formerly known as Elderhostel then Exploritas, focuses on participants' lifelong-learning goals to explore their world and expand their minds. Join a vibrant group of travelers to learn about things that have piqued your curiousity. Auburn University Office of Professional and Continuing Education participants have taken trapeze lessons, learned how to conduct an orchestra, created voting ballots and met Auburn's War Eagle mascot.
The Auburn University Office of Professional and Continuing Education has offered Road Scholar programs for over 25 years, not only on the main campus, but also at various other sites in Alabama and West Georgia. Road Scholar programs allow you to enjoy a well planned travel/learning adventure at an all-inclusive price. Choose a site from the list above to be taken to a page with general information about the location and programs hosted at that site. Each site will provide future Road Scholar participants with information regarding meals, classes, activities, hotel arrangements, directions and other travel information, basic climate information and more.
Participating in a Road Scholar program at Auburn University allows you to learn from experts in a beautiful setting with like-minded individuals.
