Larry Fabrey, the Senior Vice President of Psychometrics with AMP will be present to discuss the AMP examinations. The focus will be on the salesperson examination involving the examination items and the examination results in Alabama as well as other states contracting with AMP. Larry Fabrey received his doctorate degree in educational psychology from Pennsylvania State University, with an emphasis in measurement, statistics and human learning. Since joining the AMP staff, he has served as a measurement consultant for various AMP client organizations, including the real estate licensing examination programs and nursing certification programs. Dr. Fabrey is a past chair and voting psychometrician for the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Prior to joining the AMP staff in 1989, he was the director of measurement services for the American Nurses’ Association (ANA), where he was responsible for all psychometric aspects of ANA’s 19 certification programs. Dr. Fabrey has also served on the staff of the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), where he provided measurement expertise for certification clients. While at NBME, he also conducted and participated in various large-scale research projects investigating alternative assessment techniques.
Completion of this training will provide six of the twelve hours needed to renew instructor approval in 2015. Remember, these hours are not interchangeable with CE hours that are needed to renew your broker license. These CE hours are only applied toward the renewal of your instructor approval. Make plans to attend this instructor training and acquire not only the hours needed for instructor renewal but also valuable information and knowledge that can be used in the classroom.
All participants must register through Auburn University's Office of Professional & Continuing Education (OPCE). The registration fee is $95.00 which includes lunches and breaks.
Registrations received by fax, email or telephone REQUIRE Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express or purchase order number for payment. Auburn University must receive both the registration form and fee from participants in order to be considered registered. Remember the early registration deadline is February 7, 2014, approximately two weeks (12 days) prior to the workshops. After that, participants will incur an additional $35 late registration fee. Participants who register less than five working days prior to the workshop date should do so by phone to insure confirmation of registration.
