Overview
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized green building certification system developed by the USGBC. The broad range of LEED rating areas has necessitated the development of a series of specialty building certifications and professional accreditations. These specialty credentials now replace the more general LEED AP accreditation. The LEED AP + BD&C (Building Design and Construction) credential was created by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) to denote practical knowledge of the Green Building Design and Construction LEED rating systems: LEED for New Construction, LEED for Schools and LEED for Core & Shell. This Course will provide an overview of all of the prerequisites and credits required for buildings to obtain the certification in the Green Building Design + Construction LEED rating systems, which includes:The course will review the LEED Green Building Design and Construction rating systems including the core credits and prerequisites, green building design concepts and strategies, as well as provide an overview of the USGBC and GBCI. Candidates with an existing LEED AP credential, LEED Green Associate credential are eligible to take the specialty exam. If you have not taken the Green Associate exam you may take both the GA exam and the BD&C exam in one sitting or on separate days. The LEED AP + BD&C exam is a two (2) hour multiple-choice multiple answer exam.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be placed in writing and received at the Office of Professional & Continuing Education by September 6 in order to receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee. Refund requests postmarked after September 6 will NOT be honored. Registrations may be transferred to another participant with a $25 transfer fee. Auburn University and the Office of Professional & Continuing Education reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or combine class/workshop/conference sections; to limit registrations; or to change instructors or speakers.
