CMA is the credential that focuses specifically on financial planning, analysis, control, and decision support, as well as professional ethics–the critical skills for today's complex and changing business environment.
Respected
Leading employers seek to hire and promote CMAs. Companies such as 3M, Alcoa, AT&T, Bank of America, Boeing, Cargill, Caterpillar, ConAgra, Hewlett-Packard, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, and Verizon have CMAs in key management roles.
CMAs have demonstrated both technical competencies and an understanding of the linkage between strategy and financial performance and are grounded in a firm commitment to upholding strict professional ethical standards.
Valued
The CMA is the certification that can deliver a tangible return on your investment. Professionals with a CMA can earn nearly $25,000 more in average total compensation annually than noncertified peers*.

PART I – Financial Planning, Performance and Controls
(4 hours – 100 multiple choice questions and two 30-minute essay questions)
PART II – Financial Decision Making
(4 hours – 100 multiple choice questions and two 30-minute essay questions)
*Please note that candidates for the CMA exam may sit for Parts 1 and 2 in any order.
Invest in comprehensive CMA exam preparation.
Auburn University offers an instructor-led, live/online CMA exam preparation course. The centerpiece of our offering is IMA's CMA Learning System (CMALS), a comprehensive program that includes textbooks and online practice tests.
This approach combines printed materials and online components with the expertise of an instructor and the discipline of a classroom setting. These instructor-led review courses will be delivered in two convenient courses, mirroring the two parts of the CMA exam.
While the primary focus of this course is to prepare individuals for the CMA exam, the course is also an excellent professional development tool for helping individuals advance their career in accounting, finance, or business management.
Auburn University CMA® courses are scheduled to align with the testing windows during which a candidate can sit for an exam at Prometric Testing Centers. CMA exam parts can be taken at Prometric Testing Centers during the following months: January and February, May and June, and September and October.

"The CMA has given me a tremendous amount of value. Not just on the financial end of things, but because I've gained broad-based accounting knowledge. I've been able to advance my career because that knowledge translates into benefits for the companies I work for." – Tammy Drescher, CMA Senior Cost Accountant, Diamond Foods, Inc.
"I use my CMA body of knowledge every day. It comes naturally in the role of CFO, because I need it to look at things from many different angles, not just from the financial perspective. Management accounting skills are very much in demand as foreign and local companies reach out from the local marketplace and into more global arenas. The CMA body of knowledge is very valuable in this regard." – John K. Lau, CMA Chief Financial Officer, WesTrac China
