Distance Learning Specialist
The Office of Distance Learning & Outreach Technology at Auburn University is seeking candidates for the position of Distance Learning Specialist. The incumbent will consult with faculty to design and develop appropriate media and instructional methods for use in distance courseware; design and implement, for delivery in various technology formats, professional development and student support offerings related to distance pedagogies; and serve as a liaison with other offices involved in distance offerings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, or related field and two years relevant experience. Requires knowledge of instructional design principles, skill in multimedia production, comfort with utilizing new hardware and software tools, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and experience teaching online is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates with an agricultural science background will be given preference.
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment and be able to communicate effectively in English.
