James P. Kaetz

After finishing his PhD in English at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Pat returned to his alma mater Auburn University to teach. He then spent four years as Lead Editor and Document Production Manager at the Montgomery office of CH2M Hill, a major international engineering firm. The opportunity presented itself for him to return to Auburn University as editor of the Phi Kappa Phi Forum, the quarterly magazine of the interdisciplinary Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. After 15 years as Forum editor, Pat joined the staff of the Encyclopedia of Alabama in the summer of 2008, just before its public launch. Pat believes that the Encyclopedia is the most worthwhile project with which he has ever been involved.
