2012 AU Award for Excellence in Faculty Outreach
Nominations have been received and the winner of the award and the $5,000 honorarium will be announced at the Seventh Annual Faculty Awards Ceremony in the fall.
All In, All Pink
In order to promote breast cancer awareness, the VP for University Outreach and the Kappa Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc collaborated on an All In, All Pink event. The breast cancer awareness event was held on October 26, 2011 and was a huge success. Check out the webpage for information and pictures from the event.
Outreach Scholarship Grants
The purpose of the Competitive Outreach Scholarship Grants is to encourage faculty initiative in addressing critical societal needs in Alabama or beyond. This program is intended to more vigorously promote outreach scholarship as defined in the 2002 revisions to Chapter 3 of the Faculty Handbook.

BDPA IT Institute
Auburn University's Office of Distance Learning and the Black Data Processing Associates have joined together to create the BDPA IT Institute, an innovative service for IT professionals which provides training and skills for upward mobility in IT.
