Intensive Economic Development Training Course

A two-week course introducing all phases of economic development.

The Intensive Economic Development Training Course is an annual two-week course presented by the Economic & Community Development Institute.

This course introduces participants to all phases of economic development. Program leaders and faculty are leading community and economic development practitioners. The course curriculum is tailored to meet the expressed education and training needs of economic developers in Alabama.

Created by Extension in 1985, the Intensive Course has more than 850 alumni, including most of the state’s top economic development professionals.

The first week of the 2012 Intensive Course was held on July 9-13. The second week will be conducted September 10-14. The Intensive Course will be held at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center, located at 241 South College Street.
