ALABAMA BROADBAND SUMMIT: JULY 24-25
The Alabama Broadband Summit is a two-day event focusing on practical Internet applications for families, business, education, health, communities, and government. This program is presented by the Economic & Community Development Institute (ECDI), Auburn University and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. The summit will be held at the Prattville Marriott, Capitol Hill, located at 2500 Legends Circle in Prattville, Alabama.
The Alabama Broadband Summit will include:
- A one-day workshop (on the 24th) featuring engaging panelists who have leveraged Internet technology to make money, serve the public, save lives, and educate the next generation of workers.
- In addition, we will provide materials, resources, and instruction for the following training modules: Broadband 101, eCommerce, eCommunity, eGovernment, eHealth, eHome, eLearning, ePublic Safety, and eWorkforce.
- A half-day roundtable forum (on the 25th), during which participants will explore the challenges, opportunities, and benefits that broadband provides for Alabama, its residents, communities, and local / regional economies.
Who Should Attend: Individuals from numerous professional backgrounds and various economic sectors will find this to be a highly-beneficial learning and networking opportunity. Target audiences include: state and local government officials, Chamber of Commerce staff and board members, community leaders, K-12 educators, economic developers, community and regional planners, entrepreneurs and small business owners, public safety staff members, workforce development representatives, County Extension Coordinators, and Internet service providers. Anyone is welcome to attend.
How to Register: The registration fee of $25 covers all registration and conference expenses for the entire summit (July 24-25), including a training manual and lunch on the first day.

Accommodations: The summit will be held at the Prattville Marriott, Capitol Hill, located at 2500 Legends Circle in Prattville, Alabama. Hotel reservations are not included in the registration fee. A special rate of $139/night plus tax is available to summit participants for Tuesday, July 23 and Wednesday, July 24 until July 2.
