Mr. Jamie Loyd currently serves as the Vice President of Economic Development at Columbus Technical College. Prior to joining Columbus Tech, Mr. Loyd worked with the Georgia Department of Labor as Career Center Manager in Americus and Columbus, Georgia. For over 16 years, Mr. Loyd has collaborated with private, government and non-profit agencies to develop and promote the regional workforce and has developed and delivered training programs for business and industry partners.
Mr. Loyd earned his Masters of Public Administration (2004) and Masters of Science (Sociology) (2000) from Valdosta State University and is currently in the dissertation process of the PhD in Human Capital Development at the University of Southern Mississippi. He is an active member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), Georgia Economic Development Association (GEDA), and the International Association of Workforce Professionals (IAWP). Jamie is involved locally with the Greater Columbus and Harris County Chambers of Commerce, BRIDGE (Adult Education program), Partners in Education, the Lower Chattahoochee Workforce Investment Board, the Southern Rivers Goodwill Board of Directors, and the Rotary Club of Columbus. He also serves as a Board member of the State Family Connections Collaborative and the Georgia Employer Committee.
