Dr. Amy Brabham is the Vice Chancellor of Career & Technical Education and Workforce Development for the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education. Amy is responsible for leading the statewide functions for postsecondary Career & Technical Education and connecting workforce development needs to local communities. This happens through efforts such as Workforce Development funding allocations in partnership with 10 regional Workforce Development Councils and the Alabama Community College System, Training for Existing Business and Industry (TEBI), Ready to Work, Workforce Resource Teams, Industry Partnerships, Career Coaching, Dual Enrollment, evaluation/planning, and a host of other initiatives designed to support local economies.
Prior to her move to the Vice-Chancellor position, Amy was Director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development and Director of the Alabama Technology Network Eufaula Center. Amy began her workforce development career at Wallace Community College in Dothan where she was the Director of Workforce Development for 12 years with offices in Eufaula and Dothan.
Amy has an Ed.D from the University of Alabama, a Master’s degree from Troy University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Auburn University.
