43rd Annual Alabama County Government Institute

Staying Ahead of the Game:

The Institute is hosted by the Center for Governmental Services at Auburn University and will be held at the Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center on June 6-7, 2013 in Auburn, Alabama. This year's event brings together Alabama county commissioners and other county officials to explore ways for the Alabama county to enhance its revenue environment, position the county for economic development and growth, and effectively build for the future. The Institute begins at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday and will conclude by 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Location: Auburn University Hotel and Dixon Conference Center (AUHCC), 241 South College Street, Auburn, Alabama.

Hotel Reservations: Individuals will be responsible for their own lodging arrangements. The Auburn University Hotel and Dixon Conference Center (AUHCC) is holding a block of rooms for participants at a rate of $104.00 per night. You may make reservations at this rate before May 13, 2013 by calling (800) 228-2876 and referencing Local Government Institute.

Institute Reception: All participants and their guests are cordially invited to the 43rd Annual Institute Reception on Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. You can expect good food, excellent conversation and networking opportunities.

Luncheon: The registration fee includes a continental breakfast both days as well as a luncheon on Thursday, June 6th. If you will be bringing a guest to the luncheon, please be sure to contact the Center for Governmental Services at (334) 844-4782. Additional meal tickets may be purchased for $25.00 each.

Reception: All registrants are invited to the Institute Reception on June 6th at 5:30 p.m. in Ballroom A. Additional tickets for the reception may be purchased for $25.00 each.




The registration fee of $195 includes the institute and associated materials, continental breakfast, group luncheon and reception. Travel, lodging and other meals are the responsibilities of individual participants. Click here to register online with a credit card or PO number.

Cancellation Policy: Provided that space is available, receipt of the registration form constitutes registration. Written cancellations, received fifteen (15) working days prior to the beginning of the program will be honored with a full refund of the registration fee. Due to commitments to instructors and meeting facilities, late cancellations or non-attendance will not be refunded. Substitutions for registered participants may be made at any time.
