Beginning on July 19th, the Center for Governmental Services Training Unit hosted the annual AAPPA Conference at Sandestin Beach, Florida.

Guests were given the opportunity to meet and enjoy getting together at a reception held on July 19th. A luncheon and an awards ceremony was held on July 20th. In addition, topics covered at the meeting included Military Leave and USERRA, Public Employee Drug Testing, Emergency Preparedness, and Identity Theft. Deborah Ford, author of the popular GRITS (Girls Raised in the South) Book Series spoke and Douglas Kauffman, Attorney at Law, gave the audience a Legal Update.
