Computer Science for All Girls: June 3-8, 2018
This residential and commuter camp is directed by Dr. Daniela Marghitu, professor of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering. This camp aims to foster interest in computer science among girls by providing an engaging and active programming development experience using CS Unplugged kinesthetic activities and Microsoft Kodu to teach basic computer programming skills in a fun environment. This camp is for rising 4th — 8th grade girls.
The program is developed and directed by the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering's faculty member Daniela Marghitu and taught by students from the department.
Tuition: $425 residential; $300 commuter
* Limited number of scholarships will be available to those interested once camp form packets have been submitted. Girls and underrepresented youth who are financially challenged are encouraged to apply. If selected, a $20 administration fee will be assessed. *
