Stephanie CarrollStephanie Carroll is a Counselor Education and Supervision doctoral candidate in the Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, and Counseling (SERC) in the College of Education. Stephanie started the doctoral program in Fall 2010. During her time at Auburn University, she has taught multiple undergraduate courses including Career Orientation and Exploration (COUN 1000) and co-taught several master's courses within the SERC department. Additionally, she has worked as an academic mentor for the SASS department and graduate academic advisor with the College of Education. Stephanie also worked as an addiction counselor and after care coordinator for a treatment center in Opelika, AL. She maintained a busy schedule prior her diagnosis of Stage IV breast cancer in June 2013. She moved back home to West Palm Beach, FL, where she started her intense cancer treatment. She underwent 7 months of chemo therapy and was officially declared "in remission" on January 15, 2014. She recently had a double mastectomy and is currently in the reconstructive stage. During this time of breast cancer treatment, she has courageously and diligently continued to work on her dissertation and is scheduled to graduate in Spring 2015.
