AU Award for Excellence in Faculty Outreach

The Award for Excellence in Faculty Outreach recognizes not only exemplary faculty members, but demonstrates the tremendous impact University Outreach has on our community, state and nation.  Of our recent recipients, you have faculty members who have produced a statewide network of technical assistance supporting Alabama industry (P. K. Raju), organized a national educational institute helping persons with disabilities transition from school to the workplace (Phil Browning), developed innovative technologies for producing fuel and alternative energy from biomass (David Bransby), promoted election reform and developed a national curriculum for training election officials across the country (Christa Slaton) and innovations in making mathematics teaching effective at the K-12 level (Chris Rodger) .  These are a few examples of the extraordinary contributions of Auburn faculty and their engagement in outreach.
