Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client
The Cisco AnyConnect VPN (Virtual Private Network) Client is valuable software that is used to access a secure connection to certain AU resources, such as the AU network from off-campus and parts of Banner Admin. The Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client available to download at the AU Install page. You must request VPN access through MyAccount before you can connect.

- Set VPN server: auvpn.auburn.edu
- Set IPSec pre-shared key: auauth

Configure Snow Leopard for Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client
To configure Snow Leopard to work with Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client use the following instructions:
- Open System Preferences -> Network.
- Click the "+" sign at the bottom of the left panel.
- Select VPN from under the Interface drop-down options.
- Select Cisco IPSec listed under the VPN Type drop-down options.
- Name the new service and press Create.
- On the VPN Network panel, add information for the Server Name: 131.204.133.70 and Account Name (your User Name).
- Click the "Authentication Settings" button and add auauth2 as the Shared Secret and AUSEC as Group Name entries.
- Click OK to save your changes.
- Make sure that "Show VPN status in menu bar" is checked on the VPN Network panel for ease of future connections.
