Auburn University is partnering with Microsoft to provide a new suite of services. This new service suite provides:
TigerMail Live provides ad-free e-mail and calendaring with 10 GB of storage and continued use of your @auburn.edu e-mail address after graduation.
Bring your team, club, or other group together with a webpage, calendar, live chat, voice and video communication on your computer and mobile device, and more.
Store the files you need online and share them with the people you choose (25 GB of storage).
Post your favorite shots online in beautiful slideshows that only the people you choose can see.
Students - username@tigermail.auburn.edu
Employees - username@auburn.edu
Your @auburn.edu email address is an “official” means of communication so we can’t automatically forward your Auburn email outside our system for you.
You can do it yourself, though by going to Options, Organize Email in the TigerMail Live web client.
** Important** When setting up your email client be sure to use the full username@tigermail.auburn.edu as your username and email address. More help is available at “Configuring email clients”: http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/cc511378.aspx
When you connect Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, or Mail.app to your TigerMail Live account, you will be asked for the mail server settings.

Additional help is available at “Configuring phones for email access”: http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/cc511380.aspx or from your cell phone provider.
Check with your employer or graduate advisor to see if you really need it. If you do require an employee email account in addition to your new student email account, contact your department's Computing Coordinator to make that request. This request must be made AFTER you switch to Tigermail Live.
(See list online at http://www.auburn.edu/oit/help_support/acclist.php)
You’ll still need to opt-in to TigerMail Live. Be sure to make your request to keep your GroupWise account within 2 weeks of opting in to TigerMail Live so you can keep your current email account and its contents. Otherwise, a new, empty GroupWise account will be created with your current AU username. Either way, a new student account will be created for you on TigerMail Live, too.
NOTE: this old account will be flagged as an “employee” GroupWise account. This means as soon as your status changes and you are no longer a graduate student or employee, your access to this account will be immediately revoked. Be sure to save important files or addresses to an alternate location. You’ll have access to your TigerMail Live account forever.
Your TigerMail Live password can be maintained separately from your Auburn University password. To set your TigerMail Live password separately, visit the Microsoft Live Password Page and use your TigerMail Live ID. If you prefer, you can synchronize your Auburn and TigerMail Live passwords via MyAccount.
For problems activating your TigerMail Live services or changing your password, please contact the OIT HelpDesk: helpdesk@auburn.edu or 334-844-4944.
For questions regarding the use of TigerMail Live, please refer to Microsoft's online help documentation for Windows Live. Microsoft has also published extensive documentation specific to the use of TigerMail (Outlook) Live at http://help.outlook.com/, as well as a forum and blog site called Outlook Live Answers at http://outlookliveanswers.com.
Do you use the Google Chrome browser and the AdBlock extension?
The AdBlock extension inserts a large amount of code into the messages you send through TigerMail Live. This chunk of code trips our SPAM filter and causes it to flag your message as SPAM.
Solution:
While logged into TigerMail Live, click the AdBlock icon and select "Don't run on pod 51004.outlook.com".
