How to Enable JavaScript
Below are instructions on how to enable JavaScript in the following browsers:
Firefox 1.0
Follow these steps:
- Open Firefox
- From the top menu, click "Tools > Options".
- Click the "Content" icon.
- Check "Enable JavaScript".
- Click "OK".
Firefox 1.0 for Mac
Follow these steps:
- Open Firefox
- From the top menu, click "Firefox > Preferences...".
- Click the "Content" icon.
- Check "Enable JavaScript".
- Close Preferences box.
Internet Explorer 6.0
Follow these steps:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- From the top menu, click "Tools > Internet Options".
- Click the "Security" tab. This will display the Web content zones.
- Highlight the "Internet" zone.
- Click Custom Level.
- Scroll to find the "Scripting" header.
- Ensure that "Active Scripting" is enabled.
- Click "OK".
- For Banner and other sites in your 'Local intranet' web zone:
- Highlight the "Local Intranet" web content zone.
- Click "Sites > Advanced" and verify that auaccess.auburn.edu (and other sites) are listed.
- Follow steps 5 - 8 above.
- Click "OK".
Internet Explorer 7.0
Follow these steps:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- From the top menu, click "Tools > Internet Options".
- Click the "Security" tab. This will display the Web content zones.
- Highlight the "Internet" zone.
- Click Custom Level.
- Scroll to find the "Scripting" header.
- Ensure that "Active Scripting" is enabled.
- Click "OK".
- For Banner and other sites in your 'Local intranet' web zone:
- Highlight the "Local Intranet" web content zone.
- Click "Sites > Advanced" and verify that auaccess.auburn.edu (and other sites) are listed.
- Follow steps 5 - 8 above.
- Click "OK".
Netscape 8.1
Follow these steps:
- Open Netscape
- From the top menu, click "Tools > Options".
- Click the "Site Controls" icon.
- Click "I Trust This Site" under the Master Settings and then click "Enable JavaScript".
- Click "OK".
Safari 2.0.3
Follow these steps:
- Open Safari
- From the top menu, click "Safari > Preferences...".
- Click the "Security" icon.
- Check "Enable JavaScript".
- Close Preferences box.
