Effective April 6, 2018, Auburn OIT will be implementing changes to long distance authorization codes. This change helps protect Auburn University from potential misuse or theft of international calling privileges. It also aligns with President Leath’s initiative to maintain better stewardship over our campus funds and resources. New and existing long distance authorization codes issued by OIT will no longer be valid for international phone calls for most users. The exception is for authorization codes that have been used for approved international calls within the past 12 months; those will continue to work for future international calls. Going forward, OIT will require Departmental approval to unblock an existing authorization code or assign a new authorization code with international calling capability.
