The Office of Information Technology, or OIT, will activate a new voicemail system on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The new system will deliver voicemail messages to the employee’s university email inbox as a WAV file attachment. Users will still be able to retrieve voice messages over the phone by calling 844-1000 and following similar procedures as before. Shared voicemail boxes will not route to an email inbox unless specifically requested by the department.
Employees who have a voicemail box on the current system and have not enabled their new voicemail box on the new system must do so prior to Oct. 11 in order for the voicemail service to continue to work. Click for instructions.
The old voicemail system will continue to be available through the end of the 2016 calendar year so that users can retrieve any old voice messages still remaining in their old voicemail box. Beginning Oct. 11, users must call 844-7000 to access their voicemail box on the old system. No new messages will be accepted in the old system after Oct. 11.
If you experience any trouble with the new voicemail service, contact the OIT HelpDesk at email@example.com or 844-4944.
