Information security is critical to the life of the University. Each day the number of cyber threats against institutions of higher education is increasing. It is time that every employee learns more about these threats and how to secure your data, your computer, yourself, and the university network.
It has been request that all university employees complete the "SANS Securing the Human" training videos, which are now available through AU Access. All IT support employees on-campus have already completed this training, so if you need assistance you may contact your IT Provider.
To access the training, log into AU Access and select the Employee Services tab. Next, click the "SANS Securing the Human" icon. You will be directed to the library of training videos that contains the required modules. To view the videos, select a module and click the icon. The videos may be viewed in any order. Typically within 24-hours after you have completed all 23 modules, you will receive an email confirmation from AU SECURE <firstname.lastname@example.org> along with a certification of completion (see the link at the bottom of the email from AU SECURE).
Questions related to access should be emailed directly to AUSECURE@auburn.edu.
Note: You may have completed the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance review of the "SANS Securing the Human" videos between January 2014 and June 2014. You will NOT be tasked with reviewing the same video presentation again. If this applies to you, a separate email from AUSECURE will be sent to you confirming that you have already completed the training.
