Setting the local password
Task:
To set the local password for a Windows NT, 2000, or XP computer.
How to do it:
- Right-click the "My Computer" icon from your desktop or
Windows Start menu.
- Choose "Manage" from the menu that appears.
- Click the plus sign left of the "Local Users and Groups"
icon.

- Click the "Users" folder to display a list of user accounts
in the right frame.

- Locate the desired account name in the right frame and right-click
the account name.
- Choose "Set Password" from the pop-up menu that appears.

- Enter a strong password in the dialog box that appears.
DO NOT FORGET THIS PASSWORD! If you forget the Administrator password it may result in data loss and re-installation of the operating system.
