How to update Offline Address Book

Symptoms:

1. You will see the ‘no entry’   symbol next to a person’s name in the Global Address Book.
2. You will not be able to Share your Calendar with others who have that symbol next to their name.
3. You are trying to add someone as a delegate and cannot add the person due to seeing the 'no entry' symbol.

Explanation:

The user trying to share or add a delegate is working in caching mode and the user's address book is not 'in sync' with the address book data on the Exchange server.  Follow the steps below to try to get the address book to update.

1.  Make sure you are in the Global Address List:
   
   
   
   
2. To correct,  click on Send/Receive:
   
   
   
   
3. Choose Send/Receive Groups:
   
   
   
   
4. Choose Download Address Book:
   
   
   
   
5. To update the Offline Address Book to match what is on the server, make sure you have the following – then click OK:
