Student organizations that are recognized by the SGA are eligible for services from OIT.
Qualifying Organizations
In order to qualify for services from OIT, a campus student organization must be officially recognized or chartered by the Student Government Association, or in the one year probationary period prior to the granting of a charter. Requirements and steps for establishing a chartered organization are available in the Tiger Cub.
A list of chartered organizations is available on the SGA web site. Student organization officers update this information via an online form.

- AU Access Groups (for contacting members)
The Groups feature in AU Access lets organizations communicate and share information using announcements, news, photos, links, files, message board, calendar, e-mail, chat, and member lists. Log into AU Access and click the tiger paw ‘groups’ icon near the top right to explore this feature. - Mail Lists or Listservs
- E-mail Alias
In addition, student organizations should be aware of and follow the AU Network Policy and the Student Organization Policy.
