Sponsored Guest Accounts

Sponsored guest accounts are available for individuals not otherwise eligible as an employee or contracted agent. They must be sponsored by a university department and there must be a direct relationship to the university academic mission or business function. Alumni and/or employee spouse or dependents not directly involved in the university mission are not eligible.

Sponsored guest accounts are billable to a FOP and may only be paid by the sponsoring department.

To obtain an account, the sponsored guest must first be entered into the system by the Identity Management Office. Once that has been done, a request to activate the account should be made through the department's Administrative Computing Coordinator

Temporary Guest Account Request

Temporary Guest accounts are nonrenewable OIT accounts used to allow short term access to only Auburn's wireless network and OIT computing labs for vendors and other persons having official business at Auburn University for a period not to exceed 30 days. There are no charges associated with these accounts.
