Updating GroupWise

Task:

Updating your GroupWise software to the latest version.

How to do it:

To keep your GroupWise software current and to ensure that you always have the latest features available to you, you will need to periodically update your GroupWise software. Generally, your Administrative Computing Coordinator will let you know if a new version is available.

  1. In GroupWise from the toolbar, select Help > About GroupWise

  2. You should see:

    About GroupWise

  3. The most current version of the GroupWise software is version 6.5.0. If you see a smaller number such as 6.0, then you do not have the latest version of GroupWise and should continue these steps.

  4. Visit http://www.auburn.edu/download to download the latest version of the software to your computer.

  5. Sometimes you will be notified automatically of an update and may see a message like this:

    Update Prompt

  6. If you do, you can choose to receive the automatic update (which normally takes about 10 minutes) or you can choose to do it sometime later.
