How to Delegate Responsibilities (Groups)

You don’t have to go it alone.  You can recruit members of your group to assist in performing these tasks.  To assign privileges to other members of the group, you can edit the member’s group profile.  A member profile lists information about the member.  Use the steps below to edit a group member’s profile and thus assign privileges or delegate tasks to the member:

  1. From your Group’s Homepage, click Members link located under Configuration Tools to see a list of active members.

  2. Click the name of the member whose profile you want to edit.  An Edit Member Profile screen will appear.

  3. Under Delegated Permissions, click the check box next to the permission(s) you want to give to the member.

  4. To remove a delegated permission, clear the check box next to the permission you want to take away from the member.

  5. In the Explanation for action field, explain why you are editing the member’s profile.  The information will be sent to the member in an e-mail message.

  6. Click Update Profile button.  You will receive a “Profile has been updated” window.  Click OK.
